Pride Health is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Technician for a medical device manufacturer operating in various areas, including medical-surgical solutions, dental solutions, health information systems, and purification and filtration.

Length: 6-Months
Hours: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.50 per hour
Description:
The primary focus of this role is to assist in the development and implementation of:
- Machine risk assessments
- Evaluation of minor servicing exceptions to lock out tag out (aligned to 29 CFR 1910.147(a)(2)(ii))
- Site EHS operating procedures
- Other EHS compliance activities
- This role will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, maintenance, and operators to gain a deep understanding of equipment and operations.
- The EHS Technician will also support EHS initiatives, programs, and training while helping drive continuous improvements in safety, health, and compliance within the facility.
- The ideal candidate will be trained and qualified as a lock out tag out (LOTO) authorized employee and have a deep understanding of LOTO, hazards, and effective control measures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147.
- LOTO authorized employee training is preferred.
- Experience with machine risk assessments and minor servicing exceptions is preferred.
- Ability to identify hazards and risks in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
