- Hours: 36 hours/week | 12-hour shifts

Role: Neurodiagnostic Tech II
The Neurodiagnostic Tech II performs routine, ambulatory, and bedside EEGs for adult and pediatric patients across various hospital environments including ICU and general units. The role supports long-term monitoring (LTM), seizure recognition, accurate data collection, and collaboration with physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and ambulatory EEGs, bedside EEGs, and LTM hookups for inpatient populations
- Work independently and as part of a team in ICU and general units
- Accurately identify seizure patterns across all age groups
- Provide technologist impressions and communicate clinical information to physicians
- Gather patient history, explain procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort
- Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their impact on EEG results
- Apply electrodes using the 10–20 international placement system
- Identify, troubleshoot, and eliminate artifacts
- Monitor patients during testing and ensure data accuracy during recordings
- Adjust methods based on clinical observations
- Respond to emergencies and assist in patient seizure care
- Maintain equipment, headboxes, and peripheral devices
- Perform data clipping, pruning, archiving, and detailed documentation
- Collaborate respectfully with nursing, physicians, and colleagues
- Handle moderately complex scenarios with minimal supervision
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Neurodiagnostic/EEG technology experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak English (patient safety requirement)
Preferred:
- Experience with MEG
- Prior hospital-based Neurodiagnostic experience
- EPIC and NATUS systems experience
Education
Required:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Graduation/Certificate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic Program
- Completed clinical Neurodiagnostic internship (verified during interview)
Certifications
Required:
- BLS (within 30 days of start)
Preferred:
- ABRET R.EEG.T Certification
