Documentation Specialist

Pride Health is hiring a remote Documentation Specialist to support our client’s medical facility based in Rochester, MN. This is a 30-week assignment with a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Documentation Specialist

Location: Fully remote

Hourly W2 pay: $55/hr - $62/hr

Schedule: Day, Sunday–Thursday, 40 hours/week (8 hours/day) with overtime as needed.

Start date: 06/01/2026

Responsibilities:

As a CDI Specialist, you will review inpatient medical records to ensure documentation accurately reflects:

Severity of illness

Risk of mortality

Medical necessity

Complexity of care

You will collaborate with physicians, coders, nurses, and case management teams to improve clinical documentation and support accurate coding and reimbursement.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of inpatient CDI experience

At least 12 months of recent production experience

Strong knowledge of:

ICD coding

Disease processes and medications

Regulatory compliance

CCDS or CDIP is required

Must have one of these:

RN, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, RRT, and MD
