Dialysis Nurse

Job Title: RN Dialysis

Location: Sioux Falls, SD 57105

Contract duration: 13 weeks

Shift:3X12 Hours

Schedule: Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe and effective dialysis treatment according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient condition pre-, during, and post-dialysis, documenting vital signs, responses, and any complications.
• Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments, including vascular access management (AV fistulas, grafts, catheters).
• Monitor and adjust dialysis equipment and machines to ensure proper functioning and accurate treatment delivery.
• Administer IV medications, anticoagulants, blood products, and fluids as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and revise patient treatment plans and care strategies.
• Educate patients and families on kidney disease, treatment process, medications, diet, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of recent dialysis experience preferred (acute or chronic).
• Current BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
