Position Overview
IT Support – Cybersecurity professional to join its Cyber Security Incident Response team. This role supports continuous monitoring, incident detection, investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis activities to help safeguard enterprise systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security events, audit logs, applications, devices, and infrastructure systems.
- Investigate indicators of compromise and validate potential security incidents.
- Assist with incident response activities, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Participate in post-incident reviews and recommend process improvements.
- Support security reporting and documentation efforts.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining information security controls and policies.
- Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen organizational security posture.
- Support compliance, audit, and regulatory security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent education, professional training, or work experience will be considered.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Information Systems Security or Cybersecurity domain.
- Ability to analyze and correlate security information from multiple data sources.
- Strong research skills to evaluate industry-standard security products and mitigation solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical documentation and reporting abilities.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to various audiences.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with intrusion detection monitoring.
- Incident response and cyber incident mitigation experience.
- Threat intelligence, threat research, and cyber intelligence analysis experience.
- CompTIA Security certification or equivalent cybersecurity certification, knowledge, or experience.
- Experience working within Agile environments.
- Experience supporting audit and compliance initiatives.
