Position Summary
The CT/X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing both Computed Tomography (CT) and General Radiography (X-Ray) procedures. This role requires operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, producing high-quality diagnostic images, and supporting radiology department needs across multiple shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Imaging & Patient Care
- Perform CT and X-Ray procedures according to physician orders.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper identification prior to imaging.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
- Assist in covering both radiology and CT imaging needs across the department.
CT & X-Ray Operations
- Operate CT scanners (Siemens preferred) and X-ray equipment.
- Adjust scan parameters to optimize image quality based on patient condition.
- Perform routine and emergency imaging procedures.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
Documentation & Systems
- Document imaging procedures accurately using Meditech EMR system.
- Maintain proper patient records and imaging documentation.
- Ensure up-to-date charting and reporting.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all radiation safety and infection control protocols.
- Adhere to facility policies regarding vaccinations and health compliance.
- Maintain awareness of patient contraindications and safety risks.
Teamwork & Coordination
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and healthcare staff.
- Support department workflow during day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Adapt to flexible scheduling and departmental needs.
Minimum Requirements
Certifications
- ARRT (CT) Certification – Required
- BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
Experience
- Experience with Siemens CT scanners – Required
- Experience with Meditech EMR system – Required
- Prior travel experience preferred (not mandatory)
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
