CT Technologist

Position Summary

The CT/X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing both Computed Tomography (CT) and General Radiography (X-Ray) procedures. This role requires operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, producing high-quality diagnostic images, and supporting radiology department needs across multiple shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Imaging & Patient Care

• Perform CT and X-Ray procedures according to physician orders.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging exams.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper identification prior to imaging.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
• Assist in covering both radiology and CT imaging needs across the department.

CT & X-Ray Operations

• Operate CT scanners (Siemens preferred) and X-ray equipment.
• Adjust scan parameters to optimize image quality based on patient condition.
• Perform routine and emergency imaging procedures.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.

Documentation & Systems

• Document imaging procedures accurately using Meditech EMR system.
• Maintain proper patient records and imaging documentation.
• Ensure up-to-date charting and reporting.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all radiation safety and infection control protocols.
• Adhere to facility policies regarding vaccinations and health compliance.
• Maintain awareness of patient contraindications and safety risks.

Teamwork & Coordination

• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and healthcare staff.
• Support department workflow during day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Adapt to flexible scheduling and departmental needs.

Minimum Requirements

Certifications

• ARRT (CT) Certification – Required
• BLS Certification (AHA) – Required

Experience

• Experience with Siemens CT scanners – Required
• Experience with Meditech EMR system – Required
• Prior travel experience preferred (not mandatory)

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
