Assignment Type: 14 Weeks Contract (with possible extension )
Dates & Schedule:
- Start Date: 10/20/2025
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Hours per Week: 35–40
- Hours per Day: 8
- Days per Week: 5
- Notes: This role requires a Histology background. Interviews will be conducted in-person or via Webex.
Education:
- Required: Associate’s Degree from an accredited Laboratory Technology program.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.
Certifications & Licensure:
- Required: Valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (092) issued by NYSED with Primary Source Verification.
- Preferred: BLS Certification.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience.
- Strong knowledge and background in Histology.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a hospital or high-volume laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with EMR/LIS systems.
Job Summary:
The Clinical Lab Technologist is responsible for performing complex laboratory tests and procedures within Histology to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The technologist ensures accuracy, quality, and compliance with all regulatory requirements while working under the supervision of senior laboratory staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform histology procedures, including preparation, processing, and staining of tissue specimens.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Record, analyze, and interpret test results in compliance with laboratory protocols.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of test data, following quality control standards.
- Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support accurate diagnostic results.
- Maintain detailed records of laboratory work, including specimen tracking and reporting.
- Adhere to safety procedures and infection control standards.
- Participate in continuing education and training as required.
Salary : $65 - $66
