What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Assistant position at Pride Health?
Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility, located in Bellingham, WA 98225. This is a 3 month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Specific Duties:
- Rooming patients: taking vitals, updating medical history, and preparing for provider visit
- Assisting providers during exams and minor procedures
- Administering medications and injections as directed
- Performing point-of-care testing (e.g., blood glucose, rapid strep)
- Managing patient flow and scheduling follow-ups
- Documenting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Handling phone calls and prescription refills
- Maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms
- Ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Must-Have Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Proficiency in EHR systems
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Preferred Skills/Attributes:
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with insurance processes and prior authorizations
Qualifications:
- 1 year of preferred experience
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification

- Location: 3130 Ellis St, Bellingham, WA 98225
- Job Type: 3 months contract assignment (conversion into permanent based on your work performance).
- Schedule: - Monday through Friday
- Office Hours: Monday -Thursday 8 am-5 pm
- Pay Range: $18-29/hrs. on W2 without benefits
