What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Sonographer position at Pride Health?
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced adult echocardiography studies in a fast-paced, high-acuity inpatient setting. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong expertise in structural heart imaging, including TAVR and MitraClip procedures. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, delivering high-quality imaging in accordance with ASE and IAC guidelines, and responding effectively to critical findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality adult echocardiography studies following ASE & IAC standards
- Conduct comprehensive inpatient echo exams with accuracy and efficiency
- Perform and interpret advanced imaging techniques including spectral Doppler and Pedoff assessments
- Assist with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies
- Support structural heart procedures including TAVR and MitraClip imaging
- Identify abnormalities and promptly escalate critical findings to the care team
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with accreditation standards
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to ICAEL accreditation standards and best practices in cardiac imaging
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 years of experience as an Echo Sonographer
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program (CAAHEP or ABHES preferred)
- Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or CCI certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification
- Minimum of 200 documented inpatient echocardiography cases
- Strong experience in inpatient echocardiography is required
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) and Stress Echo
- Familiarity with 3D echocardiography imaging
- Experience with structural heart protocols (TAVR, MitraClip, HCM, VAD, closure devices)
- Proficiency with Philips iE33 and Epiq ultrasound systems
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records system
Important Details:
- 13-week contract position
- Shift is 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week
- Location is Morristown, NJ 07960
- Pay Range for Locals: $55 - $60 per hour
- Pay Range for travelers: $2,550 - $2,600 per week
