We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to join a high-performing cardiac catheterization team. This role involves supporting a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cath lab settings and be comfortable working with advanced cardiac equipment and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional procedures
- Prepare patients, equipment, and procedure rooms while maintaining strict sterile technique
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring and accurately document patient data during procedures
- Operate specialized equipment including fluoroscopy systems, Impella devices, balloon pumps, and injectors
- Support procedures such as pacemaker insertions, PCI/PTCA, peripheral angiographies, and thrombolysis
- Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and emergency situations
- Ensure proper setup, maintenance, and stocking of cath lab equipment and supplies
- Document procedures using EPIC and Merge charting systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or relevant clinical experience required
- Active State License required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certification required
- Experience with cardiac procedures including catheterizations, angiography, and interventional cardiology preferred
- Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation, and sterile techniques
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Important Details:
- 13-week contract position (extensions available)
- Shift is 4X10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), 40 hrs/week
- Location is Somerville, NY 08876
- Pay Range for Locals: $70 - $75 per hour
- Pay Range for Travelers: $3,250 - $3,300 per week
