Job Title: Anesthesia Technician
Position Type: Contract (W2) | ~3 Months (High Chance of Extension)
Pay Range: $32–$35/hour (W2)
Location: Conroe, TX 77384
Shift:
• Option 1: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Option 2: 3x12 Hours, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
On-Call: Required – You may need to be available to come in if needed, about 1 weekday and 1 weekend every 8 weeks
Equipment: Anesthesia machines, airway management tools, IV/monitoring systems
Education
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical diploma from an anesthesia technician training program (ASATT approved) OR 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of diploma
Certifications
• Anesthesia Technician Certification – Preferred
Project Description
Provides intraoperative support to anesthesiologists by assisting with patient monitoring, airway management, invasive procedures, and anesthesia equipment setup. Ensures readiness for routine and emergency surgical cases.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist anesthesiologist with preparation and placement of monitors
• Connect patients to monitoring equipment during induction
• Assist with intubation and airway management
• Support IV insertion and invasive lines
• Assist during difficult airway and specialized procedures
• Provide intraoperative support including blood processing and infusions
• Prepare and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment
• Support care team throughout procedures
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 1 year experience as an Anesthesia Technician
• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary systems and infection control
• Experience with anesthesia equipment and airway management
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and respond in emergencies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
• Pediatric experience
• Certified Anesthesia Technician
• Experience in surgical or high-acuity settings
