What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Associate position at Pride Delivery and Installation?
Work Schedule: Full Time. Schedule generally M-F, flexible but must be in daily. Saturdays may be assigned based upon business needs.
Reports to: Local Operations Manager
Position Summary: The Customer Service Associate handles delivery routing, dispatching, routine clerical work, answers phones, files, and handles data entry. Supports the work of the managers as assigned.
Essential Functions:- Follows all processes as communicated by the Corporate office.
- Responsible for handling routine clerical work relative to the overall general office operation.
- Handles morning duties including routing.
- Assists with Morning employee check in and load out.
- Maintains systems/software as needed or directed.
- Responsible for daily and/or routine review of delivery numbers as directed.
- Answers phones, handles/routes calls.
- Responsible for driver/delivery dispatch, including monitor and instruction of customer delivery app. Helps ensure customer requirements are met by driver team.
- Handles paperwork filing.
- Handles daily data entry.
- Handles customer inquiries, resolves or directs as needed.
- Handles customer communication process including but not limited to inbound calls, outbound time frame calls, and delivery scheduling.
- Monitors local office email and communication and direct or resolves as needed.
- Responsible for daily driver settlement and verifies route pay asneeded.
- Reviews daily completed customer BOL and advises management of needed follow up.
- Monitors unscheduled orders and customer communication.
- Creates daily work order and delivery paperwork.
- Maintains open order report to ensure compliance.
- Creates delivery BOL for customers as requested.
- Reviews completed routes daily to understand any incomplete orders that will need to be controlled going forward.
- Coordinates and assists with receiving, and reporting inbound information to appropriate associates.
- All other duties as assigned. Competencies:
- Must be a quick learner, able to learn new software programs quickly.
- Must be a selfstarter, selfmotivated to learn more and expand skillset.
- Must have good communication skills with the ability to communicate with customers, managers, and employees on all levels.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and be aware of things need to be done.
- Must have the ability to perform all tasks listed in the job description.
- Must have a math aptitude. Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and read. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms forward and overhead.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, climb stairs, stand, sit, reach. Travel:
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates preferred.
- 2 years in Microsoft Office, excel, google docs.
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge helpful.
- 1 years customer service.
- 1 years in call center or office setting.
- 2 years in delivery or logistics setting
- Able to quickly learn new software applications. Must be computer literate.
- Previous experience in administrative support role. Other Duties:
Travel is minimal. There may be some out-of-area and/or overnight travel work offered at other locations, but not required.
