What are the responsibilities and job description for the ROLL OFF TRUCK DRIVER position at Prichard Lawn Care?
Duties
- Safely operate roll-off trucks, front loaders, rear loaders, dump trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles according to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws.
- Load, unload, and transport waste materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage route driving schedules with precision, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries across designated areas.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before each shift.
- Maintain accurate logs of all trips, loads, and disposal activities in compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and address any route or service concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as roll-off trucks, dump trucks, front loaders, or garbage trucks.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Prior experience in solid waste management or municipal waste collection is a MUST.
Pay: $22.50 - $27.50 per hour
