Overview
Join our dynamic automotive team as a Used Car Reconditioning Technician and play a vital role in preparing quality vehicles for sale. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for inspecting vehicles to identify minor issues that need resolve prior to resale. You will be looking for cosmetic issues inside and out, identifying obvious mechanical issues, noting any vehicle warning system lights, as well as conducting a thorough deep clean/detailing of the vehicle.
Our expectation is simple: inspect and prepare each vehicle as though it were your own within the skillset of a reconditioning technician. All mechanical issues will be addressed and resolved by our automotive mechanic. If you identify a potential mechanical issue outside of your education and training, we simply ask that you ensure it is communicated to the shop manager and mechanic on site.
This role is critical as we sell cars to members of our own community and elsewhere. Customer satisfaction is always the goal, but excellence is the standard!
Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections of used vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic issues.
- Perform a thorough cleaning and detailing of vehicles.
- Ensuring the vehicle is ready for inspection and delivery.
- Assist with transportation of vehicles locally.
- Occasional driving vehicles to the inspection station.
- Follow safety protocols during manual handling, heavy lifting, and maintenance procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate findings clearly with team members to ensure quality standards are met.
