Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting optometrists in providing quality eye care services to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting preliminary tests, gathering patient medical history, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations within the optometry practice.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary tests such and assessments.
- Maintain both written and electronic patient records and documentation.
- Assist doctors in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist front desk as needed answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, etc.
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in an optical setting preferred but not required. Will train.
- Ability to work in a team setting, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Mid-level computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
