What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift position at PRICE INDUSTRIES INC?
Price Industries Inc. is on the search for a Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Suwann, GA. This position is for the 2nd Shift and will report to the Quality Manager and support plant team on quality issues and will be responsible for performing daily inspections of products, materials, assemblies and audits. An ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of ISO Quality Standards and Quality Management Systems.
Responsibilities

Assist in identifying root cause Analysis of defect trends and recommend corrective/containment action as appropriate

Perform incoming inspection IAW company drawings and documentation

Work in cooperation with QA Team, Production Supervisor and Management to meet company schedules and achieve overall company goals while ensuring excellent product quality

Ensure that quality standards in the production area are followed and maintained

Prepare reports when required by Management to ensure and enforce company policy pertaining to quality and operation of production

Perform material and product inspections using predetermined methods and frequency in a timely manner

Ensure that scheduled inspections are performed

Ensure that all policies and procedures of the company are consistent with the quality assurance program

Work with production and engineering personnel to help resolve quality issues

Maintain a factual and high level of communications with supervisors, production and engineering personnel so they are immediately informed when problems are identified

Perform any other duties or special projects directed by the QA Engineer

Assist and make recommendations for continuous improvement

Qualifications:Job Requirement

High school diploma/GED required
-
Excellent oral and written skills in English – (Bilingual Spanish and/or Vietnamese is a plus)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Good analytical and observation skills

Familiarity with mechanical assembly practices

Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) – CAD experience is a plus

Must be able to perform basic math operations, interpret blueprints and take precision measurements
Preferred: 2 years’ experience as a quality control inspector in a manufacturing environment and Certifications ASQC, Lean, Six Sigma - preferred. On the job training will be provided.
