Overview
Join our team as a Chemistry Supervisor supporting regulated nutraceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role leads day-to-day laboratory activities tied directly to product quality, compliance, and customer requirements. You will supervise laboratory staff, ensure adherence to GMPs and quality systems, and support manufacturing through analytical testing, investigations, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role in a production-driven environment where accuracy, documentation, and compliance matter.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily chemistry laboratory operations supporting manufacturing, quality control, and product release.
  • Ensure full compliance with GMPs, GLP where applicable, customer specifications, and internal quality systems.
  • Oversee analytical testing using instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV/Vis spectrophotometers, and related lab equipment.
  • Review and approve laboratory data, investigations, deviations, and documentation in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Support method development, validation, and troubleshooting as needed for manufacturing and quality initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve laboratory SOPs, training records, and GMP documentation.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Operations teams to resolve issues and support audits and inspections.
  • Lead, train, and mentor laboratory personnel to ensure consistent performance, compliance, and safety.
  • Promote continuous improvement in lab efficiency, data integrity, and compliance readiness.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in analytical chemistry, quality control, or laboratory supervision within nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of GMPs, quality systems, and regulatory expectations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven leadership experience supervising or leading laboratory staff.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, and standard wet chemistry techniques.
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, investigations, and customer requirements.
  • Familiarity with LIMS and controlled documentation systems preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field preferred but not required with relevant experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $91,000.00 per year
