Senior Maintenance Technician

Join our team at Reserve at Barry apartments,in Kansas City, MO as a Maintenance Technician II and take the lead on repairs, preventative maintenance, and building operations for our apartment community. Reserve at Barry is a 690-unit, recently renovated, 80's vintage garden-style apartment community that requires a high level of hands-on maintenance expertise. Technicians perform advanced in-house repairs across multiple building systems, diagnosing and resolving issues with minimal reliance on outside vendors for standard work orders and turn repairs. The community has been recognized for operational excellence, earning AAKC Property Management Team of the Year honors two years in a row.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry
• Lead unit turns, preventive maintenance, and common area upkeep
• Support pool maintenance and safety protocols (CPO preferred)
• Maintain tools, supplies, and grounds to PRG standards
• Handle emergency on-call rotations as scheduled
• Diagnose and troubleshoot building systems
• Track inventory and escalate major repair needs
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 years of general or apartment maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• CPO and EPA Universal preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs. and work on-call as needed
• Valid driver's license required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable working independently and mentoring others
