- Contributes to continuous process improvements to increase the efficiency of QA and development.
- Able to anticipate and resolve issues dealing with software quality.
- Experience in developing and managing short and long-term plans and schedules for organization wide software quality needs.
- Knowledge of automated testing applications not required - nice to have.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow project tracking tool not required - nice to have.
- Experience with SQL Databases
Day-to-Day responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist IT in the design, pilot, and implementation of the software quality assurance review process.
- Provide feedback to project teams regarding process/procedure improvement opportunities and other potential areas for improvement discovered during software quality activities.
- Assist development teams test software quality for production deployment.
- Proactively engage in the end-to-end software testing cycle as it pertains to the project.
- Perform database queries for testing as needed by the project.
- Work closely with and follow direction from Team Lead.
- Contribute to the establishment of and meet quality goals and objectives for the project.
- Contribute to all aspects of quality assurance for the project including establishing relevant metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
- With input from Team Lead and team, develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures.
- Work with the project team to test updates, patches, and repairs to the application software components in the development, test, and QA environments.
- Take corrective action, Management approval, to resolve all issues and problems encountered with testing to ensure the applications perform as required.
- Review project s required work products to ensure compliance with approved tailored procedures and standards.
- Perform detailed reviews of interim and final tasks as appropriate.
Perform or manage the required software quality phase end reviews of work product and process for each software project and produce the required software quality reports, as specified in the project's software quality plan.
