This role will primarily support Charlotte, NC and Lehi, UT.
Reporting the SVP of Supply Chain, The Senior Director Direct Sourcing is responsible for providing strategic sourcing direction and support for Snap One functional teams, driving to strengthen existing commercial relationships and expand supplier base as required. The Senior Director Direct Sourcing will develop strong relationships between suppliers and company representatives, striving to improve overall supplier quality and cost management, as well as internal teams to drive towards corporate objectives. This is a high visibility supply chain role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This role will report to the Senior Vice President of Material Management.
Specific Responsibilities
- Manage total supplier relationship, including initiation of partnership discussions, cross functional deal management, development of terms, and overall commercial contract negotiation
- Key focal point in managing total commercial relationship with suppliers. Including executive level meetings between suppliers and Snap One when needed. Primary escalation-point for supplier issues and communications with suppliers at all levels (executive, operations, development)
- Manage the total relationship with assigned suppliers providing optimal cost, full solutions, availability, and quality of products
- Provide strategic sourcing direction and support to the functional team leaders
- Work with key stakeholders (functional team leaders) for RFP (Request for proposal) cost analysis, supplier selection for business awards, and ongoing program support. Provide vision to optimize total cost of ownership. Executing bids and tenders and auctions. Negotiating supplier contracts and preparing Master Purchase Agreement for signing
- As required, work with cross-functional teams to manage supplier transitions (e.g., existing vendor to new vendor). Consult and partner with other functional leaders, offering views and advice that add value and perspective to situations. Understand functional supplier options (existing and competitive alternatives). Understand and update supplier search, evaluation, and selection criteria
- Responsible for supplier performance reviews and accountable for supplier improvements in Costs, Quality, Delivery, Innovation
- Assist in development and presentation of management reporting tools to provide visibility to overall supply risk. Design and analyze reports based on cost data collection from SAP ERP, Excel tracking files, and Power BI. Collect and rationalize cost data from multiple sources while ensuring the data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness
- Developing savings ideas for categories and defining robust and appropriate savings plans. Full Supply Chain review to highlight potential opportunities for cost and purchasing improvements. Collaboration and discovery with the Product and Sourcing teams to facilitate improvements that lead to more efficient processes
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration; Supply Chain and/or Operations Management focus preferred
• 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and its’ application
• Advanced skillset with MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications include: CPP, Six Sigma Black or Green Belt, PMP, CPMP
- Experience working with global suppliers.
- Multi-function supply chain experience (e.g., manufacturing, demand planning, logistics)
- Relevant Professional Designation (i.e. APICS/ASCM: CPIM or CSCP)
