Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a thorough understanding of specimen collection procedures. As a vital member of our clinical staff, you will perform blood sampling and related tasks to support accurate diagnostics and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and other laboratory techniques with precision and care.
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and processing of specimens according to established protocols.
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and safety standards during specimen collection.
  • Monitor and record vital signs when necessary, providing comprehensive patient care during procedures.
  • Prepare patients for blood sampling by explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns empathetically.
  • Follow laboratory procedures meticulously to ensure specimen integrity and accurate test results.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area, adhering to infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in laboratory procedures, including venipuncture and blood sampling techniques.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, medical terminology, and physiology relevant to specimen collection.
  • Prior clinical laboratory or hospital experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.
  • Familiarity with anatomy knowledge, aseptic technique, and blood collection protocols.
  • Certification or training in phlebotomy is preferred but not mandatory if equivalent laboratory experience is demonstrated.

Pay: $24.58 - $29.60 per hour
