Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Training Specialist role based in Tallahassee, FL, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Training Specialist will plan, design, and deliver training programs related to child abuse prevention, family strengthening, and community education for diverse audiences, including professionals, caregivers, and community partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, developing instructional materials and curricula, facilitating virtual and in-person training sessions, and evaluating training effectiveness through feedback and performance data. The role will also involve collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to align training content with organizational goals and best practices in prevention. The Training Specialist will maintain accurate training records, support event logistics, and contribute to resource development such as toolkits, guidance documents, and online learning modules.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear presentation, writing, and active listening abilities to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience in Training & Development and Training, including planning, delivering, and evaluating workshops or educational sessions.
- Knowledge of Instructional Design, including creating curricula, training materials, and learner-centered content for virtual and in-person formats.
- Customer Service skills to respond professionally to participant inquiries, support partner organizations, and maintain positive relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, public health, human services, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience working with child- and family-serving systems (e.g., social services, education, healthcare, or community-based organizations) is preferred.
- Proficiency with presentation tools and learning technologies (e.g., PowerPoint, webinar platforms, learning management systems).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects, and travel within Florida for trainings as needed.
