Navy EOD Force Combatives and Tactics Instructor

This position is contingent upon successful contract proposal submission and award.

We are seeking a highly skilled Martial Arts Combatives Instructor to deliver and support hands-on, progressive combatives training for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in close-quarters combat, tactical operations, and instruction within a military environment. Travel may be required.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Design and execute a customizable, comprehensive, and progressive martial arts training program incorporating:
   
  • Fundamental self-defense and survival principles
  • Body mechanics and tactical movement
  • Close-quarters striking techniques (fists, feet, elbows, knees)
  • Offensive techniques using multi-angle combinations
  • Techniques compatible with military operational gear and environments
     
• Provide on-site train-the-trainer instruction
• Develop training scenarios and deliver instruction during Maintenance, Basic, Advanced, and Sustainment phases of EOD unit training
• Provide small unit tactics training support for:
   
  • Advanced Military Operations on Urban Terrain (A-MOUT)
  • Professional Development
  • Indoctrination
  • Training planning and scheduling
     
• Coordinate and deliver combatives training with NECC subordinate units as required

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Martial Arts Instructor certification
• Black Belt certification in any martial art, with at least 4 years of experience teaching techniques both with and without tactical gear, including:
   
  • Ground-fighting and grappling
  • Body control and submissions
  • Close-quarters striking (hand-to-hand combat)
  • Knife and stick use
  • Detainee-handling and compliant/noncompliant cuffing procedures aligned with U.S. Navy Noncompliant Boarding-VBSS standards
     
• Experience supporting EOD tactical operations
• Ability to safely plan and assess classroom and underway security boat training using ORM, Navy Mission Essential Tasks, Training Plans, and scripted training scenarios
• Tactical operations planning experience, including mission development and debriefing using military decision-making processes
• One of the following certifications or equivalent:
   
  • Expeditionary Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor
  • USMC Close Quarter Battle Team Member (MOS 8154)
  • Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat (SFAUC)
     
• Current Basic First Aid/CPR certification
• U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience delivering instructor-led training
• Familiarity with computer-based instructional aids and training technologies
• High personal standards of technical knowledge and professionalism in instruction delivery
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a military environment
• Understanding of U.S. Navy organization and rank structure
• Above-average verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
