We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Trust and Estates Legal Assistant to support our Trust and Estates attorneys in the Concord, New Hampshire office. This full-time role is well suited for a candidate with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a client‑focused practice that involves estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to Trust and Estates attorneys
- Prepare, proofread, and format routine legal documents and correspondence related to estate planning and probate matters
- Assist with the preparation and filing of probate documents with New Hampshire courts
- Manage calendars, schedule client meetings, and coordinate deadlines
- Handle client communications in a professional, courteous, and confidential manner
- Open and maintain client files, both electronic and physical, in accordance with firm procedures
- Coordinate document execution, notarizations, and client signatures
- Assist with billing, time entry, and expense processing as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1–3 years of legal administrative experience, preferably in Trust & Estates, probate, or a related practice area
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment
- Professional demeanor and discretion when handling sensitive client information
- Familiarity with probate procedures and legal terminology
- Experience with document management systems is a plus
