Duties
- Provide attentive care for children, including toddlers and infants, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Support childhood development through engaging activities that promote learning and social skills
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, bathing, and nap times for infants and toddlers
- Implement behavior management strategies to foster positive behavior and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with families and other caregivers to develop personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Use first aid skills promptly when necessary and ensure emergency procedures are followed accurately
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach, guide, and support children and families
- Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining patience and empathy
