Preston High School is hiring a dependable part-time maintenance team member to help keep our campus clean, safe, and welcoming for our students and staff. This is a steady evening role - a strong fit whether you're looking for reliable part-time work or a second job that won't interfere with your daytime commitments.

What We Offer

• A regular evening schedule, 25 hours per week (hours may shift for school events or to cover a teammate)

Schedule

• July–August: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• September–June: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Setting up and breaking down for school events may require changes to your scheduled hours, including occasional weekends.
• Staff are expected to cover one another's shifts during illness or emergencies.
  
  

What You'll Do

• Keep classrooms, hallways, offices, stairwells, restrooms, and the cafeteria clean, sanitized, and well-stocked
• Perform maintenance tasks, including changing lightbulbs, painting, and minor repairs
• Set up and break down rooms and spaces for school events (this can require schedule changes and heavy lifting)
• Clear snow from walkways and handle other seasonal upkeep
• Securely lock all doors, windows, and gates at the end of each shift
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently during evening hours
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical work - bending, standing, climbing ladders, and lifting throughout the shift
• Pride in a job well done and a positive, team-first attitude
• Flexible and willing to adjust hours or cover shifts when school events or staffing require it
  
  

Requirements

All Preston employees who work on campus must:

• Successfully complete a criminal background check
• Complete VIRTUS / Safe Environment training, as required by the Archdiocese of New York for anyone working in a school setting
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States
