What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Development Rep & Appointment Setter - Own the Pipeline position at Preston Brown Enterprises?
Location: Remote (US timezones)
Status: Independent Contractor, 30 hours/week
Company: Preston Brown Enterprises
Preston Brown doesn't do boring. He built a massively successful home building company in El Paso, Texas, and decided that wasn't enough. So he created a high-end executive travel club that takes successful entrepreneurs on bucket-list adventures—think elite travel to Costa Rica, Dubai, etc. Add in a premium mastermind program where business owners pay $5K-$50K to level up their game, and you've got a portfolio of businesses that actually help people live better lives.
We've got a full team: CMO, CTO, Marketing Manager, videographer, social media crew, and fulfillment specialists. We're not a startup operating out of someone's garage. We're established, growing fast, and we need someone who can hunt down opportunities AND convert warm inbound leads into booked appointments.
Your mission: Own the top of the funnel. Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting AND convert inbound interest into booked appointments with our closer. You're the bridge between "never heard of us" and "take my money."
- Call inbound leads who came from our paid ads (these are people who raised their hand and said "tell me more")
- Crush outbound calling on purchased lists we provide—these are qualified prospects, not random Yellow Pages entries
- Make 200 calls per day (this should be EASY for you)
- Send strategic SMS follow-ups because people actually read texts
- Use GoHighLevel with our soft dialer (we'll train you, but bonus points if you already know it)
You're not just dialing for dollars. You're prospecting, qualifying, and setting appointments for our closer to pitch either:
- Our $6K-$10K/year executive travel club (bespoke trips with other high-performers)
- Our $5K-$50K mastermind program (serious business growth, serious investment)
Here's where you earn your keep: Some people come in asking about travel but are really a fit for the mastermind. Others need nurturing before they're ready. You need to spot the difference, make detailed notes, and tee up the closer for success. We'll give you a script, but the best SDRs improve on the script. We want hunters, not robots.
- High energy, thick skin, and relentless follow-through. You don't take "no" personally, and "I'll think about it" just means "call me back Thursday."
- 200 calls/day minimum doesn't scare you—it excites you
- Comfortable with both inbound AND outbound—you can warm up a cold lead and close a hot one
- You can talk to successful people who make 6-7 figures and aren't easily impressed
- Coachable but not helpless—you take feedback, iterate on scripts, and find ways to improve conversion rates
- Available 30 hours/week during US business hours (any mainland timezone works)
- Reliable tech setup: Good internet, quiet workspace, functioning phone. You will not be asked to be on video.
- Previous SDR, BDR, or appointment setting experience
- You've used GoHighLevel before
- You've sold or set appointments for high-ticket offers ($5K )
- You actually like talking to people (shocking, we know)
- You understand the difference between a tire-kicker and a qualified prospect
- Competitive base commission structure (we reward closers, not clock-watchers)
- Remote flexibility—work from home, a coffee shop, or your RV in Montana
- Real training—we've already demoed this role internally and know what works
- A team that has their act together—we're not figuring this out as we go
- Potential to grow if you crush it (we promote from within)
Send an email to hr@theprestonbrown.com with the subject line “It’s YOURNAME, the SDR Setter You’re Looking For!”. In that email, add a Loom video no longer than 5 minutes answering the following:
- What excites you about this opportunity
- Your relevant work experience in sales
- Why we should hire you
We're moving fast on this, so if you're interested, don't wait. Preston doesn't like waiting.
Preston Brown Enterprises is an equal opportunity employer. We care about results, attitude, and work ethic, not what box you check on a form.
Salary : $6,000 - $10,000
