Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, cleaning, and surface repairs such as drywall patching, caulking, and plastering to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint using various methods including brush painting and roller painting.
- Perform construction surface preparation tasks such as sanding, priming, and coating application on diverse surfaces including drywall, wood and metal structures.
- Use ladders safely for elevated work while following all safety regulations and protocols related to height work and respiratory protection.
- Conduct quality checks through visual color comparison to ensure color accuracy and consistency across all painted surfaces.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools like paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools; also responsible for fixture installation and restoration work as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in residential painting and commercial paintiing.
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection measures and safety protocol adherence.
- Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as plastering repairs and caulking.
