Job Summary:
As a Marine Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding and maintaining a variety of watercraft and onboard systems. This includes work on engines, electrical systems, steering, hydraulics, and navigation electronics. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers’ boats are safe, efficient, and ready for adventure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems on boats
- Perform routine maintenance on inboard and outboard engines (gasoline and diesel)
- Install and troubleshoot marine electronics (GPS, sonar, VHF radios, etc.)
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings with customers and the service team
- Ensure work meets safety and environmental regulations
- Assist with haul-outs, launches, and sea trials as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a marine technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of marine engine systems (Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo Penta, etc.)
- Familiarity with marine electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Technical certifications (e.g., ABYC, NMEA) are a plus
- Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license; ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions
