Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for general freight.
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency across OTR routes.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure safety standards are met before each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues during transit.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning on OTR routes.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.
- Ability to work independently on long-haul routes while managing time effectively.
