Prestige Stamping LLC is a high volume manufacturer of tight-tolerance washers and other small metal stampings. We provide stampings to the automotive, construction, agriculture and heavy truck industries.
Prestige Stamping LLC is currently seeking dynamic candidates for the position of:
Press Operator
For our Midnight Shift
Job Responsibilities:
- Before starting any assignment, inspect the equipment - machinery, etc., to be used for safety and operational defects.
- Notify the Supervisor of any equipment defect and if possible, correct the malfunction or write maintenance request.
- Operate the press machinery to produce the desired number of pieces in accordance with the Supervisor's instructions.
- Frequently check, as well as have the QC Inspector check, the quality of the parts being produced.
- Report all quality irregularities to Supervision, or Leader.
- Report any possibly contaminated Hoppers to Supervision.
- When necessary, take die sections out of the die, and install when needed.
- Complete any other task assigned by Supervision.
- Keep machinery, equipment and surrounding area in a clean condition at all times.
- Learn and follow all Safety rules and Company policies.
- Be able to remove a die shoe out of an OBI Press. Follow proper procedure.
- Load coils, keep cradle walls in proper position, and monitor the cradle operation while running the press.
- Learn to safely band coils and band them back to skid when being returned.
- Keep steel lined up, and guide pin marks off the steel.
- Prepare all paperwork related to the job. (E.O.R. Tickets, Hopper tags, tool correction form, etc.).
- Be sure the steel being loaded is the correct size and grade before loading.
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old
- Must have good communication skills,
- Excellent attendance, including being on time for your shift every day,
- Must be a team player,
- Must be able to pass a physical, lift 50 lbs. and be able to work on elevated press platforms
- 2 years die setting experience
