Seeking a professional and personable Medical Front Office Specialist to manage front desk operations in a high-volume behavioral health facility. The ideal candidate will facilitate patient check-ins, handle insurance verifications, and deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a welcoming and efficient environment. This role is essential in supporting the daily functions of the clinic, ensuring smooth patient flow and adherence to confidentiality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a front desk role within a medical or hospital setting
• Strong front office etiquette and professional presentation
• Pleasant demeanor with excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in basic office computer applications; experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred
• Strong data entry skills (minimum 45 WPM)
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
• Facilitate patient check-in, including assistance with telehealth appointments
• Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks
• Schedule appointments and manage appointment reconciliation
• Answer multiline phones efficiently, responding to inquiries promptly
• Protect patient rights and maintain HIPAA compliance
• Support daily clerical duties related to front desk operations
