Infectious Disease Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Decatur, GA
Pay: $40/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized care plans based on patients’ diagnoses, medical history, and treatment goals.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide patient education regarding medication management, potential side effects, and adherence to treatment regimens.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers regarding patients’ progress, changes in condition, and treatment plans.
- Serve as a resource to colleagues on infectious disease-related issues and best practices.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families coping with the challenges of infectious diseases.
- Foster a therapeutic and compassionate environment that promotes trust, dignity, and respect for all individuals.
- Facilitate referrals to support services, community resources, and infectious disease specialists as needed.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in acute care or infectious disease nursing.
- Strong experience administering IVs.
- Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
