Position Overview: Prestige is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to serve as the entry point into our sales organization. This role focuses on proactive outreach, client acquisition, and developing a foundational understanding of both traditional and automated material handling solutions.
The SDR plays a critical role in generating and qualifying new business opportunities that support both Inside and Outside Sales teams. This position is ideal for a driven, coachable individual who is eager to learn technical products, develop sales skills, and grow within a collaborative, relationship-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and research prospective customers within manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and warehousing markets throughout the Southeast.
- Conduct outbound outreach through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn to schedule introductory meetings for senior sales team members.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads and coordinate opportunities with Inside and Outside Sales Executives.
- Maintain accurate, well-organized lead and activity data within the CRM system (HubSpot).
- Support marketing initiatives through follow-ups, trade show outreach, and targeted prospecting campaigns.
- Build foundational product knowledge across pallet racking, industrial work platforms, modular offices, safety systems, automation solutions, and related services.
- Participate in ongoing product, sales, and technical training to continuously develop industry knowledge.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organization and follow-through.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, KPI-driven outbound sales environment.
- Coachable, curious, and motivated to learn technical solutions and sales processes.
- Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools (HubSpot, ZoomInfo, or similar) is a plus.
Growth and Development
- Gain hands-on experience in sales fundamentals, product knowledge, and project flow within the material handling industry.
- Learn customer qualification, solution alignment, and the basics of quoting and proposal development.
- High-performing SDRs will have the opportunity to advance through the structured Sales Development promotion track, based on performance and business needs.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
