We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape/Lawn Maintenance Team Leader to join our team. This is a full time position with potential increases based on demonstrated leadership skills, possession of a valid driver's license, and bilingual proficiency. As a Landscape Foreman, you will play a vital role in leading and supervising our landscape maintenance operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and possess strong leadership ability.
Responsibilities:
- Work with existing lead to supervise a crew of lawn care specialist and landscapers to ensure efficient and high-quality landscape maintenance services.
- Perform and oversee grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns using various motorized equipment.
- Safely handle and apply chemicals for weed control, while also taking responsibility for picking weeds as necessary.
- Utilize pruning techniques to maintain shrubs and ornamental landscape features in optimal condition.
- Assist with light plant installation and beautification to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the landscapes.
- Demonstrate expertise in safely cutting down and removing tree limbs that pose safety hazards.
- Conduct routine inspections of the grounds maintenance activities, ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the assigned areas.
- Load and unload equipment and tools into vehicles and trailers, ensuring proper organization and storage.
- Drive work vehicles to and from worksites, adhering to all company safety standards and traffic regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to crew members, promoting a culture of safety and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Experience as a landscaper, lawn maintenance technician or similar role.
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Strong knowledge of ground maintenance techniques, equipment operation, and plant care.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficient in adhering to safety standards and promoting a safe work environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Positive attitude
