Position Summary

The Operations & Project Manager serves as the central hub of communication between customers, sales, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members. This role is responsible for coordinating projects, tracking progress, resolving issues, maintaining schedules, and ensuring every customer receives outstanding service throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent communication and follow-through. In addition to strong operational and project management skills, this individual must possess a deep understanding of residential construction methods, materials, building systems, and remodeling best practices. The Operations & Project Manager will be expected to evaluate unique project conditions, develop practical solutions to unforeseen challenges, and apply construction expertise to unusual or complex situations that commonly arise during remodeling projects.

The ideal candidate also possesses exceptional leadership and human-relations skills, with the ability to effectively manage employees, subcontractors, and construction crews while maintaining accountability, morale, and high performance standards.

Leadership & Crew Management

  • Lead, motivate, and hold subcontractors, field crews, vendors, and team members accountable for performance, quality, and deadlines.
  • Build positive working relationships with employees, subcontractors, customers, and business partners.
  • Resolve conflicts professionally and maintain productive working relationships among all project stakeholders.
  • Communicate expectations clearly and ensure teams understand project goals, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate multiple crews and trades simultaneously while maintaining efficiency and accountability.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and project outcomes.
  • Address personnel issues, performance concerns, and jobsite challenges with professionalism and fairness.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Construction Expertise

  • Evaluate existing structures and identify potential construction challenges before they impact project timelines.
  • Develop practical solutions for unforeseen field conditions and non-standard remodeling situations.
  • Collaborate with crews, subcontractors, and homeowners to determine the most effective construction methods for unique project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance on framing, roofing, siding, windows, doors, structural modifications, waterproofing, and finish work as needed.
  • Ensure construction methods meet quality standards, building codes, manufacturer requirements, and company standards.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of project management, operations management, construction management, or remodeling experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, building systems, and remodeling practices.
  • Ability to assess unusual field conditions and develop practical construction solutions independently.
  • Strong understanding of framing, roofing, siding, windows, doors, structural modifications, waterproofing, and finish carpentry.
  • Proven leadership experience managing employees, subcontractors, or construction crews.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage personalities, resolve conflict, and maintain accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through challenging projects and changing priorities.
  • Ability to read plans, scopes of work, and construction documents.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with CRM and project management software.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of permitting requirements, building codes, and industry best practices.

Pay: $70,332.48 - $75,065.28 per year
