POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership and clinical oversight to direct care and counseling staff within PHRI programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered, trauma-informed behavioral health and substance use disorder services. The Clinical Supervisor plays a critical role in program development, staff supervision, training, documentation compliance, and quality assurance. This position supports the agency's mission by fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement in clinical care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed staff, interns, and peer support personnel.
- Oversee treatment planning, case reviews, and clinical documentation in accordance with Medicaid/Medicare, MCO, and accreditation standards.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions and clinical case conferences.
- Monitor staff performance, support professional development, and complete evaluations.
- Lead onboarding and training of new clinicians on PHRI’s model of care, documentation standards, and clinical policies.
- Provide crisis support, de-escalation guidance, and review of critical incidents.
- Support utilization management processes, level of care determinations, and discharge planning.
- Assist in implementing evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, audits, and policy development.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
- Independent licensure in D.C. required (LICSW, LPC, or equivalent).
- Must meet requirements to provide clinical supervision per DC regulations.
- 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience working with substance use disorder and co-occurring populations.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and ASAM criteria.
- Proficient in EMR systems and documentation practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe) and various business software.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.A.
