Job Summary
Prestige Health & Wellness is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Care Navigator to join our growing integrative wellness practice. The Care Navigator serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming experience while supporting providers and staff through efficient administrative, billing, and care coordination tasks. Spanish speaking a plus but not required.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Administrative Support
- Schedule and manage appointments, coordinate patient schedules, and send reminders.
- Maintain and update patient records, including demographics, medical history, and billing details.
- Assist with billing tasks and accurate data entry.
- Support new patient intake, ensuring forms are complete and histories are collected.
2. Patient & Team Communication
- Serve as a warm and professional point of contact for patients, answering questions and providing appointment, service, and billing information.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.
- Connect patients and families with treatment options, services, and community resources.
3. Insurance Coordination
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as required.
- Help patients understand their insurance benefits and out-of-pocket responsibilities.
4. Front Desk & Reception
- Greet patients, manage incoming calls, and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Manage check-in/check-out, collect co-pays, and ensure accuracy of information.
5. Technology
- Use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to manage patient data and facilitate communication.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and related tools for administrative tasks.
6. Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
7. Organizational Skills
- Balance multiple priorities and manage time effectively.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all documentation.
8. Problem Solving
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and providers.
- Resolve scheduling or administrative issues, escalating concerns when necessary.
9. Professionalism
- Maintain ethical standards and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Represent Prestige Health & Wellness with compassion, integrity, and respect.
10. Other Duties
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned to support the growth and success of the practice.
11. Education & Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training or certification in medical office administration preferred.
- Experience in behavioral health or medical office settings strongly preferred.
12. Salary & Benefits
