Job Summary
The Parts Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's warehouse by handling inventory, organizing parts, fulfilling customer orders, and maintaining daily logs. The position requires flexibility, as job tasks can vary daily based on the immediate needs of the company. Associates may also be responsible for operating forklifts to move shipments and inventory, as well as assisting with heavy lifting, up to 80 pounds. Warehouse Associates also perform routine cleaning duties and ensure the proper handling of materials in a dynamic environment.
This position requires working in an outdoor environment and exposure to a variety of conditions, including moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or caustic chemicals.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the warehouse inventory system and databases.
- Coordinate and schedule the movement of products throughout the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of parts.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory checks.
- Package orders for shipping and create appropriate shipping labels.
- Locate and retrieve parts efficiently, ensuring quick and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Inspect all incoming parts for accuracy and quality, verifying part numbers, condition, and specifications.
- Dispatch parts to appropriate locations, ensuring proper tracking and documentation.
- Process parts returns and ensure follow-up for credits as needed.
- Communicate with team members to address supplemental item needs or discrepancies.
- Administer job costing functions to track warehouse expenses and inventory movements.
- Maintain and control inventory of miscellaneous materials in the warehouse.
- Ensure vendor discount accuracy and verify all invoicing against shipments.
- Print and verify production lists to ensure proper order fulfillment.
- Track and follow up on backordered items to ensure timely customer delivery.
- Manually handle, repack, or restack pallets of finished products when needed.
- Operate a forklift truck for inventory movement as necessary (for certified operators).
- Document all relevant activities and complete necessary forms and reports.
- Assist with other duties as required by management.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with shipping methods (USPS, UPS, FedEx) and procedures.
- Knowledge of freight and international orders is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding or willingness to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments concerning inventory management.
- Forklift certification is required for forklift operators.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Current forklift certification required for forklift operators.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to sit, push, pull heavy objects, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and crawl frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds regularly and safely.
- Must be able to handle various environmental conditions, including working outdoors and with moving machinery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
