Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on Class 6–8 power units and trailers, including engines, electrical systems, brakes, A/C systems, exhaust and after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, and more.
- Execute a 50/50 mix of power unit and trailer repair work across a regional customer base.
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections in compliance with federal regulations.
- Open and close repair orders on a company-issued device with accuracy and timeliness.
- Source parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
- Complete DOT forms and all required documentation accurately and on time.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on diesel and trailer repair experience.
- Demonstrated power unit diagnostic skills — this is a must.
- 5 years performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency using a computer or tablet for electronic work order processing, including labor entry and status updates.
- Must supply own tools.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT
- Reefer/refrigerated trailer experience — strong plus.
- CDL, a plus.
- ASE or manufacturer certifications.
- Welding experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the role with or without reasonable accommodation — work is performed outdoors and may involve extreme heat, cold, and humidity.

Salary information: $32 - $36/hr. – pay is commensurate with experience
