WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Line Cook, you'll prepare fresh, high-quality meals while helping create an exceptional dining experience for our residents, families, guests, and team members.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare fresh, high-quality meals using scratch cooking techniques and established recipes
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, soups, desserts, baked goods, and daily specials
- Ensure food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion standards are met
- Practice proper food handling, sanitation, infection control, and kitchen safety procedures
- Set up and break down kitchen workstations efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen equipment and work areas
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food storage procedures
- Restock food, supplies, and ingredients throughout each shift
- Work closely with the Culinary Director and Dining Services Team to deliver exceptional meals
- Assist with holiday meals, resident events, family gatherings, and special community celebrations
- Help create memorable dining experiences our residents look forward to every day

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a restaurant, scratch kitchen, commercial kitchen, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or food service environment preferred
- Experience preparing meals from scratch required
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Culinary education is a plus
- Food Handler's Permit required (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and commercial kitchen equipment
- Strong knife skills and the ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to accurately read and follow recipes
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Senior Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Healthcare Dining, Restaurant, or Hospitality experience is a plus but not required
