Position Summary
Prestige Advanced is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced technician with a passion for trucks, off-road vehicles, performance vehicles, street rods, and custom automotive builds.
The successful candidate will possess proven experience installing, modifying, and repairing suspension systems, performing vehicle upfits, and installing aftermarket accessories. This is a hands-on position requiring exceptional mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
Essential Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and modify OEM and aftermarket suspension systems.
- Install suspension lift kits, leveling kits, lowering kits, shocks, struts, springs, control arms, and steering components.
- Perform suspension modifications for off-road, performance, and specialty vehicles.
- Install aftermarket powertrain components and performance upgrades.
- Perform engine, transmission, drivetrain, and differential modifications as required.
- Install brush guards, grille guards, push bumpers, winches, custom front and rear bumpers, running boards, side steps, rock sliders, roof racks, lighting systems, and other vehicle accessories.
- Mount, balance, and install custom wheels and tires.
- Perform vehicle upfitting for specialty and commercial applications.
- Read installation instructions, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend repair solutions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct quality inspections before vehicle delivery.
- Accurately document completed work and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional automotive technician experience (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of automotive suspension, steering, brakes, driveline, and powertrain systems.
- Proven experience installing aftermarket suspension systems and accessories.
- Experience with off-road vehicle modifications is highly preferred.
- Ability to safely use automotive lifts, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
