Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Nurse (LPN) to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in wound management, patient care, and various medical procedures. This role involves assessing and treating patients with complex wounds, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing education to patients and their families regarding wound care practices.
As a Wound Care Nurse (LPN), you will provide expert wound assessment, treatment in patient homes and contracted care facilities across your assigned travel region. You’ll work autonomously to ensure patients receive comprehensive, evidence-based wound management.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' wounds and overall health status.
- Administer wound care treatments as directed by provider staff.
- Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Educate patients and families on proper wound care techniques, infection prevention, and overall health management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care management.
- Stay current with advancements in wound care techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in wound care, wound vacs, large and complex wounds
- Home Health experience is a plus!
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Compact Licensure is required for this role
- Desire and ability to cover a large service area.
