Position OverviewWe are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineering (PE) license in NJ and/or PA. This role supports environmental, civil, stormwater, and wastewater projects while contributing to design, permitting, modeling, and field inspections. The position offers a mix of office and field work and the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across regional project sites.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport environmental protection, wastewater, and stormwater management projectsConduct field inspections and oversee project activitiesPrepare NPDES and other regulatory permit applicationsDevelop design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D (site layouts, utilities, roadways, grading, stormwater systems)Participate in civil infrastructure, landfill, stormwater, and wastewater engineering projectsAssist with project budgeting, scheduling, and land development/erosion control work (residential, commercial, industrial, institutional)Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using tools such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RASCollaborate with project managers, discipline leads, and CAD teams to uphold technical standardsProvide technical solutions, evaluate alternatives, and support client communicationBalance office duties (approximately 70%) with field responsibilities (approximately 30%) across PA, NJ, and NYRequired Experience QualificationsActive Professional Engineering (PE) License in Pennsylvania and/or New JerseyBachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred but not required)6 years of civil/environmental engineering experience, including:Civil infrastructure and site developmentLandfill design and constructionStormwater and wastewater managementExperience working with PADEP and NJDEP permitting processes (stormwater, soil erosion, site planning)Proficiency with hydrology/hydraulics modeling tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RASWorking knowledge of PA NJ Stormwater BMP Manuals, PennDOT standards, PA Code Chapter 105, or NJDEP Land Resource Protection permittingProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office SuiteValid driver’s license with ability to complete regional travelSchedule Work SettingMonday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMIn-person roleWork setting:Office: ~70%Field (project sites): ~30%Regional travel primarily within PA, NJ, and NY
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
