Job Summary
The Autism Support Professional plays a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with autism spectrum disorders. This position involves working closely with clients to implement individualized treatment plans, promote skill development, and enhance overall quality of life. Duties
- Assist clients in daily living activities and personal care to promote independence.
- Assist clients in the community with engaging in social activities
- Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress and behaviors in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide support during therapeutic activities and facilitate social interactions.
- Maintain client progress in documenting notes
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to special education and behavioral therapy.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of data collection methods for tracking client progress.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations concerning patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- CPR required
- Driver License Required
- 1-2 Years Experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
