Prestage Farms is searching for dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Load Crew Members. In this role, you will be directly involved in the loading of livestock, ensuring that the process is conducted smoothly, safely, and efficiently. As a Load Crew Member, you will work under the supervision of the Load Crew Supervisor while maintaining the high standards of our loading procedures.
Specific Duties / Responsibilities:
- Assist in loading livestock onto trailers, following established protocols.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the animals during the loading process.
- Maintain accurate records of livestock being loaded and ensure proper documentation.
- Support the cleaning and maintenance of loading equipment and work areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely loading operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic understanding of animal handling practices (preferred).
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
