CDL- Baby Turkey Hauling

Prestage Farms is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to transport baby turkeys between farms. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work early morning hours and travel regularly between farm locations.

Responsibilities

• Safety operate a company-provided truck and trailer to transport live turkeys
• Ensure the well-being of the turkeys during transportation, adhering to all relevant animal welfare regulations
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Document and log work/rest periods.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer at all times
  
  

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. & occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• one year of commercial driving experience or Trucking School Certificate
• Valid Commercial driver license class A
• Must be 21 years or older
