About the Role
The Senior Director, Performance Marketing is responsible for leading all aspects of paid media, acquisition marketing, and third-party digital partnerships. This role owns the execution and optimization of high-impact paid channels (Google, Meta, Bing, TikTok, etc.) to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Leadership & Execution
- Serve as the internal expert on Google, Meta, Bing, TikTok, and emerging platforms—owning both strategy and daily budget optimization to maximize efficiency and growth.
- Build and execute integrated cross-channel plans that balance CPA, ROAS, LTV, and contribution margin, supporting both e-commerce and retail initiatives.
- Manage and optimize media budgets with rigor, ensuring each dollar invested delivers measurable business impact.
Retail Media, Marketplaces & Partnerships
- Lead strategy and execution for third-party retail media and marketplace platforms (Target Roundel, Costco Media Network, Instacart, DoorDash, Amazon, Walmart Connect, affiliate networks).
- Ensure strong partner alignment, co-marketing opportunities, and channel-specific growth plays.
Data, Analytics & Testing
- Design and oversee structured experimentation: A/B tests, geo-lift, incrementality, audience segmentation, and creative/bid optimizations.
- Build closed-loop measurement frameworks with Data Analyst (Finance) to connect spend, acquisition, LTV, and contribution margin.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations and clear decision frameworks.
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in performance marketing, acquisition, or growth roles, within DTC CPG, Food & Beverage, or retail.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in paid search and paid social: advanced mastery of Google Ads (Search, Shopping, YouTube), Meta Ads Manager, and Bing Ads — with a proven ability to drive measurable results.
- Track record of owning large-scale budgets and delivering strong ROI through precise targeting, bidding, creative optimization, and cross-channel strategy.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, and ad platforms; experience with incrementality testing and advanced attribution required.
- Experience managing third-party retail media partnerships and marketplace platforms (e.g., Instacart, Target Roundel, Costco, Amazon, Walmart Connect).
- Ability to synthesize data into clear strategies, influence senior stakeholders, and align investments to both near-term revenue and long-term growth goals.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire high-performing teams and drive innovation.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- Strong experience managing large budgets, agencies, and cross-functional campaigns that deliver measurable ROI.
- Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills; proven ability to motivate teams and influence senior executives.
- Passion for wellness, mission-driven brands, and delivering seamless omnichannel experiences.
- Must be able to work on site in our Culver City, CA office 3 days per week.
