What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant position at Pressed and Shaken Laundry?
Job Summary:
Laundry Attendants are responsible for providing excellent customer service, proactively keeping the laundromat clean and tidy throughout the entirety of the shift, processing wash-dry-fold orders, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with washers, dryers, and payment systems.
- Maintain a clean and orderly laundromat, including sweeping, mopping, wiping machines, and emptying trash.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues.
- Accept cash/credit payments via POS system.
- Process wash-and-fold orders (properly sort, wash, dry and fold following approved laundry procedures), ensuring timely completion and quality results.
- Monitor equipment and report any issues to the manager.
- Maintain stock of detergents, softeners, and other laundry products.
- Enforce proper use of machines, laundromat rules and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service required.
- Previous experience in laundry services / POS systems / cash handling preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Friendly, professional attitude with great communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move laundry bags.
- Repetitive bending and lifting required.
* Ideal candidate will have reliable transportation for opening shifts that may begin at 6:00 AM and closing shifts that may end at 2:00 AM.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
