JOB TITLE: Layout Technician

LOCATION: Jefferson

REPORTS TO: Quality Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

To inspect parts and tooling to blueprint requirements and to document and communicate those results to appropriate functions.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive)

• On shift assigned, maintain and facilitate all activities in Layout.
• Assist Quality Engineer (Sr. Layout Tech) in FAI and PPAP activities.
• Demonstrate the ability to program CMM and provide step by step instructions.
• Assist Quality Engineer (Sr. Layout Tech) in all PCN activities and any related administration duties required.
• Comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and further processes.
• Work with management team to gather data for process improvement items.
• Represent Quality in any cross functional teams to resolve quality issues.
• Basic to advance skills in use MS Office.
• Review technical certifications and testing documentation for conformance to the customer’s requirements and take appropriate actions to address non-conformance.
• Additional duties as needed.
• Knowledge of Quality Policy and how it relates to this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• PPAP/FAI training
• Programming training
• MS Office Training or equivalent/Infinity training
• Basic to advanced knowledge of all quality related processes
• Basic to good organizational skills
• Team skills
• Good communication skills
• Good people skills and ability to work well with others
• Infinity Software Training, Syteline proficiency, Lead Auditor Training, Print Reading & GD&T, Comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and further processes.
